Group Class Terms & Conditions — Students

Last updated: July 2026

These terms apply when you enroll in a promoted group class on Voilà. By enrolling, you accept them. They add to Voilà's general Terms & Conditions.

1. What a group class is

A group class is a fixed series of live sessions taught by an independent tutor. The tutor — not Voilà — is the seller, service provider, and merchant of record. Voilà is only the platform that lists, promotes, and facilitates the class and processes your payment on the tutor's behalf.

2. Seats and enrollment

  • You are buying one seat in the class series shown at checkout (all listed sessions).
  • Seats are limited. Enrollment closes when the class fills or the first session starts.
  • A class must have a minimum number of students to run. That minimum is enforced from the cancellation cutoff before the first session (the tutor's notice window, 24 hours by default) until the first session starts. If enrollment is below the minimum at any point in that window, the class is cancelled and you are refunded in full. Once the first session starts, the class runs to completion, and a later drop below the minimum does not cancel it.

3. Payment

  • You pay the full package price up front at enrollment.
  • Payment is collected through the tutor's Stripe account. The tutor is the merchant of record; Voilà is not.
  • Voilà retains a 15% platform fee. The remainder goes to the tutor.
  • Prices are set by the tutor and shown before you pay.

4. Cancellations and refunds

  • You can cancel a single session or your whole class anytime from your dashboard or the link in your enrollment email.
  • Refunds are automatic and per-session. Each session you cancel before its cancellation cutoff is refunded to your original payment method, and Voilà reverses its 15% fee on the refunded amount.
  • 24-hour cooling-off: within 24 hours of purchase, any session that has not yet started is refundable even if it is already past its cutoff.
  • Sessions cancelled after their cutoff (and outside the cooling-off window), and sessions that have already taken place, are not refunded.
  • The minimum-students requirement is enforced from the tutor's cancellation cutoff (24 hours by default) until the first session starts. If enrollment is below the minimum at any point in that window, the class is cancelled and you receive an automatic full refund. Once the class has started it is not cancelled if enrollment later drops below the minimum. If you leave mid-course, only the remaining sessions you cancel before each session's cutoff are refunded — sessions that have already taken place are not. If the tutor cancels your session, that session is refunded automatically.
  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method and usually appear within 5–10 business days.
  • If your tutor cannot deliver a session due to illness or emergency, they will contact you directly to reschedule or arrange a substitute where possible. If the session is cancelled instead, it is refunded automatically per the rules above.
  • EU/EEA consumers: because each class runs on fixed dates for a limited number of seats, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right under Directive 2011/83/EU does not apply once a session is confirmed (Art. 16(l)). The 24-hour cooling-off and per-session cancellation rights above apply instead.

5. Attendance

  • Join each session on time using the Voilà link. Sessions run at the scheduled time for the whole group.
  • Sessions you miss without cancelling before the cutoff are treated as delivered and are not refunded.
  • Cancelling your seat frees it for others; refunds follow the cancellation rules in section 4.
  • If your tutor runs the class on Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, sessions are delivered through a calendar invitation sent to everyone enrolled. As a result, your email address may be visible to the tutor and to the other participants included on that invitation. By enrolling, you consent to your email address being shared with the other members of the class in this way.

6. Conduct

  • Be respectful to the tutor and other students.
  • Do not record, share, or redistribute sessions or materials without consent.
  • Voilà or the tutor may remove you from a class for abusive, unlawful, or disruptive behaviour, without refund.

7. Voilà's role and limits

  • Voilà facilitates and promotes the class but is not the provider of the teaching and is not the merchant of record.
  • Voilà makes no guarantee about class quality, results, the number of students, or that a class will run.
  • Your teaching relationship and any dispute over the class is between you and the tutor.

8. Changes

Voilà may update these terms. Material changes apply to future enrollments. Continued use of group classes means you accept the current terms.

9. Contact

Questions about a class go to your tutor. Questions about the platform go to support@voila.fun.
