Getting Started (Tutors)

This guide walks you through signing up as a tutor and completing your initial setup on voila.fun.

Creating Your Account​

  1. Go to voila.fun/sign-up and select Sign up as a Tutor.

  2. Register with your email or continue with Google or Microsoft.

  3. Fill in the required fields:

    • First name
    • Country
    • Languages you speak — list your native language first, then any additional languages
    • Languages you teach

  4. Start a 30-day free trial with up to 200 free Bot or No Recorder sessions and up to 80 free Voilà Classroom sessions. A card is required; you are not billed until the trial ends. See Subscription & Billing.

First Steps After Signup​

Once your account is created, you land on your Dashboard. Complete these steps to start teaching:

  1. Complete your tutor profile — Add a photo, introduction video, tagline, bio, pricing, and certificates for each language you teach. A complete profile increases your visibility in the Tutor Directory.
  2. Set your availability — Define your weekly hours so students can see when you are free to book.
  3. Connect your calendar — Sync Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook for automatic busy-time detection and lesson creation.
  4. Set up optional Stripe Connect — Connect a Stripe account to receive payments from students. PayPal is coming soon as an alternative (you can use Stripe or PayPal, not both).
  5. Invite your first student — Send an invitation by email directly from the My Students page or share your public profile link.

Your profile appears in the Tutor Directory when:

  • You have set Marketplace listing as active.
  • You have filled in at least the required fields (name, photo, language, pricing).

What Happens Next​

  • Students discover you via the Tutor Directory.
  • When a student books a lesson, you receive a notification to confirm or decline.
  • After each recorded session, Voila generates a transcript and AI summary automatically.
  • Use the Teaching Assistant to create exercises tailored to each student's level and history.
