Settings

Settings is the central hub for account configuration, integrations, and preferences. Both tutors and students access it from the header.

Account Settings​

Personal info​

SettingDescription
Basic InfoName, email, and account details.
Voice SampleRecord a voice sample to improve transcription accuracy.
Display LanguageThe language used for menus, labels, and calendar day names. It also sets whether the week starts on Monday or Sunday, and whether dates are shown day-first or month-first. Languages that read right to left use a right-to-left layout.
CurrencyCurrency used for billing and payments on the platform.

Tutor Profile​

Edit your marketplace profile, per-language settings, and AI Matchmaker interview from Settings → Tutor Profile. See Tutor Profile & Marketplace.

Payments​

Management of pricing, payouts, and payment collection.

Notification Preferences​

Control which notifications you receive:

  • In-app — notifications appear in the notification center on voila.fun
  • Email — sent to your registered email for key events (new messages, lesson confirmations, summaries)

Toggle individual notification types on or off in Settings → Notifications. See Notifications.

Subscription​

Configure the default meeting platform, recording, and billing under Settings → Subscription. The choices you see depend on your plan.

  • Default meeting platform — Voilà Classroom, Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams. New lessons use this default. The create and propose dialogs show it and link here to change it; they do not ask you to pick a platform again.
  • Recording — Bot joins Meet, Zoom, or Teams. No Recorder skips that. Voilà Classroom records the 1:1 lesson itself. Not every plan offers every recorder.
  • When the bot joins — the Subscription tab says whether Voilà Bot joins your 1:1 classes, your group classes, or both. Admit the bot from the meeting lobby.

While you are on the free trial, a referral code that has already been applied to your account is shown on this tab.

Custom voice​

Optional. After a voice sample, your clone can be the voice students hear on the Voilà app, WhatsApp, and Telegram. Students can switch back to the usual voice at any time. The control is on Settings, next to your voice sample.

Integrations​

Tutors can add the Voilà browser extension for Brave, Chrome, or Firefox from this tab. Students do not see those cards. Students see the Voilà app (Android on Google Play; iOS coming in November 2026) and their calendars.

Referral Program​

Find your personal referral code and track referral status in Settings → Referral. See Referral Program.

Account security​

Update your password or delete your account.

Vacation Mode​

Pause incoming booking requests and new-student messages. Go to Settings → Integrations → Vacation Mode to enable or disable. Students will receive an auto-reply if they message you via chat. Students will not be able to book individual or recurring lessons during your vacation window. However, students will be able to book lessons outside your vacation window. Tutors can initiate lessons during vacations if the lesson is proposed by the tutor (i.e. they know their availability during their vacation).
