Tutor Profile
Your tutor profile controls how students see you on the marketplace and how the platform matches you with learners!
Editing Your Profile
You can access your profile in two ways:
- Via the Profile section — shows a student's-eye view of your marketplace listing.
- Via Settings → Tutor Profile — same information without the marketplace preview.
Profile Fields
Basic Information
- Native language
- Additional languages you speak (even if you don't teach them — students may feel more comfortable knowing you share a language)
- Languages you teach
Per-Language Customisation
You can create a separate profile for each language you teach. Each profile can have its own:
- Introduction video
- Tagline
- About me text
- Class packages
- Lesson types
- Pricing
- Whether in-person lessons are available
- Certificates offered
Availability
Set your weekly availability directly from the profile section or from Scheduling.
AI Matchmaker Profile
The AI Matchmaker gives students the option to find tutors through a compatibility interview rather than filtering by price or rating alone.
To be included in AI matching, complete the AI Matchmaker interview in Settings. The interview asks about:
- Your teaching interests
- Your lesson style
- How you handle corrections
- Whether you focus more on grammar, conversation, pronunciation, etc.
Students who complete their own matchmaker interview will be paired with tutors whose answers are most compatible.
You can choose whether to enable or disable your AI Matchmaker profile at any time from Settings.
