Students
The Students section is where you manage all your learners — from inviting them to reviewing their progress and customising their experience.
Inviting a Student
- Go to Students and click Invite Student.
- Fill in:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Target language
- The student receives an invitation email.
- Once they confirm, their status changes to Active.
Student List
Your student list shows all invited and active students. From here you can quickly see each student's status and access their individual profiles.
Per-Student Settings
Each student has individual settings you can configure:
- Default summary template — choose which lesson summary format is generated for this student by default
- Payment method — whether they pay via Stripe or externally
- Notifications — per-student notification preferences
Learning Insights
Each student has a Learning Insights panel, which gives you an AI-powered view of their progress.
Student Progression
An AI chat that answers questions about the student's learning journey based on all stored lesson transcriptions. You can ask things like:
- What grammar topics have we covered?
- What mistakes does this student keep making?
- What should I focus on next?
AI Lesson Planning
Helps you plan upcoming sessions based on past lessons. You can type any question or choose from suggested prompts. It draws on the same transcription history as Student Progression.
Previous Summaries
Review past lesson summaries and select different summary types or dates to compare.
Flags
Items flagged by the student in their own app — topics they want to cover, things they found difficult, or vocabulary they want to revisit.
Student Profile
Basic information about the student: hobbies, profession, and learning profile — used by AI tools to personalise suggestions.
Private Notes
Your private notepad for this student. Notes written during lessons are stored here automatically and persist across sessions, functioning as a running notebook.
Student-Facing Experience
Students have access to their own view of the platform, which includes:
- Their own private notepad
- Lesson summaries and transcripts
- The ability to flag topics or vocabulary they want to revisit
Student private notes are completely private — tutors cannot view them.
